Suggested routes.

Route 1. Escosse – Rieux de Pelleport – Sarguet – Camp Negre – Menay – Montesquuieu – Volvestre – Castagnec – St Ybar. A good warm up route that allows you to experience some of the back roads and long flat runs. It can be done as a half or full day, returning to our accommodation when you have had enough. To see the route in detail, follow the link Low Level Tour route 1

Distance. 104 km.
Time. 4.30 – 5 hrs (aprox)

Day 2. Having planned and prepared for the day the night before, we head out as one group with the support vehicle. By starting and finishing both days at the same place, you have the flexibility to return as and when they like (within reason!).

Day 3. Having got a feel for the roads and the local cycling environment, you can choose a new route from the 15 we recommend

Peloton of four entering Saint Martin d’Oydes in Ariege, Midi Pyrenees

Route 2.

St. Ybar – Lezat sur Leze – Carbonne – St Girons – Maz d’Azil – Pailhes.
The day starts by heading north/west to Carbonne, before dropping due south to St Girons on the D627, then heading back via the amazing Maz d’Azil on the homeward leg. A full day of cycling, taking you along some great roads that allow a fast passage as you cut through the Ariege countryside. There are good stop off points for food, rest, and interest along the route.

Saverdun – Puydaniel – St Sulpice sur Leze – Pailhes – Sarquet – La Bastide de Serou – Lescure – Maz d’Azil -Sabarat – Pailhes – Saint martin d’Oydes.
One of our longer routes, taking you north for a while, then coming directly south on one of the straightest, smoothest roads in the region, the D919. This road offers an almost perfect, high pace, 30 km, continual run. The route then cuts across country, taking to westwards along the D117 before it cuts back on the homeward leg, through the Maz d’Azil and back to our start point.
